Muş Girls' Dormitory Bedding and Heating

Sixty-four middle and high school girls from the mountain villages of Muş live through the winter in a dormitory with heating problems. Some of the beds are 15 years old and there are too few blankets. The campaign improves these conditions so girls can stay in education.

Scope

• 64 sets of bed, quilt and bedding
• Four tonnes of fuel for the stoves through the winter
• Two washing machines for the dormitory laundry
• Desks and lighting for the shared study room

The target is 240,000 TRY. One bed set costs 2,400 TRY, and donors can take a single bed set or a share of fuel.

Handover and monitoring

Bed sets and fuel are handed over to the dormitory management against a record before winter begins. In January the heating and occupancy are reviewed with the dormitory director and a short status note is sent to donors.
